Re: C.R. Klein Reels
A half a dozen of any reel maker is a good collection. Thanks for sharing.

Jay notice that Mustard Yellow color on your spool is same as the harness piece on my reel.

Beautiful reels, what a great collection!
I love the drag star wheels, they're like
a sheriff's badge, so cool. Wish someone
would make some for all my Penn Senators.

I've had the good fortune to visit with Jay on a couple of occasions and see his collection. The quality of his tackle is off the charts! Jay, I am glad to see you posting pictures of some of your collection and sharing them with folks. Keep them coming!!

Re: C.R. Klein Reels
Now there's another Klien that hasn't been mentioned , It's a 18-0 possibility larger with a wire like handle! It came out of Florida many years ago and had a 3 wire like banjo handle similar to an early British sports car! I missed it by about a month after it was sold! I was under the impression Jay added it to his collection. It's also a non cradle reel that sounds a bell when line is taken out. The reels also unmarked so it was probably ID as a 1 off but search patents and Klien will come up. Tight Lines Nick in NY Holzman/big game reel collector!

Here's a couple of articles about Klein that appeared in the December, 1933 Popular Science Magazine.
