Pint-sized Kov's

Post by Deepfins791 »

Here's a nice pair of pint-sized Kov's. The Micarta Type I is marked 4/0 and the Bakelite Type II is marked 3/0. Note the Micarta inlay on the reel foot of the Type I. Reels were originally owned by Wilbur May, of the May Company. Wilbur was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Cheers,
John

Nice reels! Wish I still had my orange 3-0! Imagine assembling a complete set of any Kovalovsky set from 3-0 through 16-0! At 1 time I had a 16, 12 & 3-0, wish I didn't give up on them! Either way beautiful pieces!
Wanted Ultra rare salt water reels including big game as well as unknown rare surf reels!
