Heres a neat Templar 1419 3/4 I picked up. Any one know when these brown marble side plates were made? Between 1938 and 1952 is all I can fiqure. Enjoy :)

Sorry, I can't help you tell when it was made but that is a neat real you have there.

Nice reel, Jeff!

The inspection stamp on one that have which came in a box says 1947. True, we can only assume they are made anywhere from '38 to '52 without any catalog information.

And John, my wife doesn't have a say in my collecting, except when I ask her for the money for a new reel... :lol:

Thanks guys -- I can only speculate that they didnt make very many as you dont see them very often. 1947 huh , I wonder if that was the only year they made em... Thanks again for the info Brian.

Yes, there certainly are very few of them. Don't know about only one year but I'd guess the span of post WWII years?
