Garcia Mitchell 300 set in acrylic???
Hello -
I have a question about an item that you folks might be one of the few people that can answer. I'm trying to track down some background on this: it's a Garcia Mitchell 300 that's been cast in acrylic. It's disassembled but set so the parts are configured like an exploded technical schematic.
Do you guys have any idea what this was about? I'm guessing it was probably some sort of dealer display but I'm not sure.
Thanks very much and I greatly appreciate any help you could provide.

I wouldn't mind having that paper weight! Wish the picture was a little larger and a couple of different views. Since the yellow sticker is on the side it's safe to say circ. 50's counter display to promote the quality of Mitchell. One could then see the insides completely and not just through the cut out part. Great find!

I noticed (!) an Ambassadeur like that at the ABU museum. It was supposedly used at the service department as a quick reference part display model. The R & D department had similar as well. They had some earlier reels too, parts just glued to a sheet of masonite.
I don't know what the story is really. Cool anyway.
