I'm new to this forum, and curious to know if anyone else has or heard of the Morrison Superfine Reel, made by the Madison Kipp Co in Madison, Wisconsin. I would like to show pictures but haven't figured out how to upload them.

Here is Dick's reel and the note he sent me:
Attached are photos of the Morrison Superfine Reel made by the Madison
Kipp Co of Madison. Note that on the picture of the web portion of the
foot the number 6 etched on it. I have a letter from the company about
these reels. Madison Kipp made up a very few of these in the tool room.
The problem was that by the time they were finished, they would cost them
a few hundred dollars each, so they were not economical to produce. It is
a very well made reel, with an unusual level wind system. I haven't
determined whether the level wind shaft is of their make, or someone
else's part. My guess is that it is of an other make. The square housiing
is definitey theirs.
