Salmonfishing in Norway by 3 generations

Post by Jacob : salmonfisher03 »

Back again from a wonderful trip together with my father and my son.
We fished the river Gaula in Norway.

I hope you will enjoy the pictures from our trip.

Our house, the river is just behind the house.

My father and my son getting ready to fish.

We had to park on the other side, I'm not driving a Range Rover

It would be a dream to catch a salmon in this size

I'm looking forward to that day when such a big salmon will take my fly.

My son is waiting for the salmon to take the lure.

Many places were only reachable by walking on the rails.

Some of the places that we fished.

Glenfarclas whisky, rod ready with a Hardy St. John - can it get much better :)

Yes maybe with this set, a Hardy splitcane rod and a Hardy Cascapedia reel.

Waiting for the rain and hoping that the river will raise.

My set up for the low river.

We also had the luck to see a moose.

Our shelter.

My son was the only one to catch fish, even if it was not a salmon, he was very proud of his first trout from Norway, and I was also proud of him :fished

Last picture - 3 generations, my father, my son and I :fished
Looking forward to our next family fishing trip.

Best

Great pictures. Outings like that are what memories are made of. Do you know new member Marius Holmby who lives in Norway?

Thanks for another glimpse of that beautiful part of the world. You're really good at taking us there. What an awesome family. Three generations of fishermen, out together, is nothing less than magic.

Mark, I already looking forward to the next trip together with my father and my son.
We are having so much fun, and I hope my son will take me with him, when I'm getting old.

One more picture from our trip. A very tired young man  my son is sleeping, I think he is dreaming of the big salmon that we did not catch :fished
