Post by Bud Chaddock »

32 guys caught 10 Bluefin hooked 12 that day. Some 300 lb fish were jumping around us. None hooked. Also 107 Yellowfin Tuna up to 65 lbs that day. I caught 4 at 45 each. Two is the limit and what a way to get 2 Bluefin limit.

Got a spare reel stamped "Pflueger" or a Montague Imperial?

that's some serious eats.

A friend, whom I know as a trout wizard, once living in FL used to make an extra $60k/yr fishing bluewater on weekends and selling his catch at the dock.
It became a business for him and a few guides.

His day job was sonar signals. They built a sonar transducer the size of a volkswagen, with the intent of "turning on the lights" underwater. When they fired it off the coast of FL, the Australian Navy replied, please don't do that again.
