Fudge & I Take a Ride

Post by Reel Geezer »

This week I got a new jet boat delivered from Montana. It is 18' long and we have a lot more room for tackle, guests, and Fudge.

We broke it in on the lake, and then took it down to the river to see how the smallmouth liked the boat. Fudge gave his OK to the boat, and then he gave his approval to this fish.

This smallmouth was my first picture fish (18"+) of the year, and put up a terrific fight. In all, it was a really good week.

Ditto on both, Geez...and Fudge has really shaped up into a fine animal! now, are you SURE that you'd rather go river cruising than sit in my office and write grants? :D

Phil - That's a nice boat, Fudge looks like a great dog and a dandy fish! But who is the old guy?

Sorry, Roger. You get the back seat. Fudge will bounce back and forth from front to back.

Don, I'm not sure who that old guy is. Last time I looked he was a lot younger.

At this time the river is higher than it's been all year, so we're fishing the lake with the boat. We've had a cool, rainy spring and still have lots of snow on the peaks in the mountains. Al, what happened to this warming you keep talking about?
