Langley Spinlite R810 spinning reel. Can anyone advise how to remove the spool? I have unscrewed the tension knob and removed the spring and several washers, but the spool does not come off.

Joe,
Unscrew the cap. Take off the washers. UNSCREW the spool. Should come right off. The spool unscrews,it does not pull off.
Let me know if you still have problems.

On mine you have leave the washers in and tighten the drag knob all the way down. Once the drag is tightened down the spool unscrews backwards (to the left).
Love those Open Face Spinning Reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco)
