This is the official Shakespeare site (Darn, I thought mine was!) and it has everything you need to know.

Thanks Harvey. Actually, I was aware of that site, but in the past I have found the information on it to be plagued with errors so I just don't trust it.

Temco catalog listings

Post by Brian F. »

There were two versions of the Temco and they were made generally at different time periods. The all metal version was earlier.

Here's a listing compiled from pocket catalogs by the late David Percival. The full listing, titled "Adams to Worth", includes other models and is in the Winter 1997 issue. I find it is much more reliable than Shakespear's web site (they have the deep sea Atlapac model listed as a level wind reel!). the two dates indicate when they appeared/disappeared from the catalogs.

Temco 41/58 1 7/8" pillar, 2 3/4" plate (box w/ papers added
Temco 41/52 2 1/8" pillar, 3 1/2" plate
Temco 28/34 200 yd, polished nickel
Temco 28/34 250 yd, polished nickel
Temco 28/34 300 yd, polished nickel
Temco 28/32 200 yd, satin gun metal finish
Temco 28/32 250 yd, satin gun metal finish
Temco 28/32 300 yd, satin gun metal finish

Hope this helps.
