Any Thomas H Chuub articles?

Post by reelland »

I recently picked up what I think might be a small Thomas H Chubb reel. John Orrelle's "Fly reels of the Past" refers to a chronicle by Mary Keforer Kelly in Volume 7, No. 4 of "The American Fly Fisher" on Chubb reels. I was wondering if any of you knew how I could obtain, buy, borrow or copy the article. Thanks, Bill Land.

Bill, if all else fails, the American Museum of Fly Fishing (http://www.amff.com/) ought to be able to send a copy.

Bill, I note that the Rubber Reel Lady has an identical reel. Hers has very faint stamping "Wm Mills & Son, NY". That might help a bit. I'll try to post a photo of hers in a few days.

I also looked through my Am. Fly Fisherman mags, and note that my inventory stops one year short of what you need.
