Italian versions of the Swiss Staro reel

Post by Paul M »

Sergio Di Marco has just published an article on the STARO reel produced in Switzerland on the ANTIPES website.
I would like to point out this fact because I was able to clarify some important historical details thanks to some photos published in the "Orca on line" Forum that show a first version of STARO that is identical to the very rare copies produced in Italy and that we know as ISEO, GIMAR and even BST -ALBATROS.

I hope this article will also be useful to the many fans and collectors associated with ORCA.

Best wishes from Italy.

Great research and connection to a couple of reels that most of us that don't reside in Italy ever see. Thank you, Sergio, for bringing it to our attention!
Love those Open Face Spinning Reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco)
