It’s not my reel. I saw it on this listing with 45 watchers. Marshall Field & Co. was really a high-end retailer.

I agree with Dean... looks like same as these two montagues, but with a lot cleaner face! Shame on me!



Main diff is the handle/grasp, which is what i think makes it looke Shakes... possible handle switch??

Variety abounds Montaguely. See Mr. Gast's page. Not surprising, considering how many reels they made for so long.

It's a Montague and there's even an article on Marshall Field trade reels in the November 2006 Reel news!

Thanks. I’ll have to find and read that article. Montague sure stepped up to the plate when a client asked for its best.
