The “Made in England” mark is seen on reels by Milward’s.... maybe others.

Beautiful reel John , does he do Kovalovsky reels too .
Are the two pillars that hold the foot on square or are they rounded on top where the face the inside of the spool? If they are square it might be an Eaton and Deller. If they are rounded then there would be more suspects in the mix.

They are square, Ed! I am really impressed with how smoothly this reel operates... great quality... i think Bob is looking to part with this one If there is any interest, I’ll connect you,.
And yes, i suspect the fellow would take on a Kov...would not want to be the one to pay for that adventure!

Yes Milward stamped their reels Made In England and it is more than possible that it was made in the old Slater Factory in Newark.

I'll second that. That took some time to do. Amazing what people can do with metal. I've always marveled at how someone can engrave something like an expensive gun without making a mistake that would run the gun.RonG wrote:Beautiful engraving on the reel.
