Looks to be a very clean Montague from the twenties, believe they came in 400, 450 and 500 Yd sizes. You can see a catalog flyer showing the reel on Ron Gast's site in the Montague section. Doug

I agree with Doug. Thats an after market "Blackburn" drag added to the reel. Nice example.

Nice reel. Blackburn drag? Beautiful combo! Pflueger made a similar reel-with same drag added, but that is not a Pflueger as best I can tell. Montague sounds good. Lettering looks-non-Pflueger too.

Thanks Guys
Had to put a little bit of elbow grease in to this 500yd Montague to make her shine. It was a good week to stay inside and get out the polish since we have been getting temperatures that are 100+* here in Maryland. Matt ill keep you in mined if I decide to part with it.
