I have a question about Pflueger Redifors

Can someone tell me if a amber knobbed handle was ever used on Redifors that did not have reticulated end caps. I have an extra handle with a amber knob and a body with regular screw on end caps. Should I use it on that reel.
Collect mostly Ky style reels; Meek, Heddon, Horton, Pflueger Redifor and Worth, etc.
