Any ORCAns planning to attend? I will be there Thursday & Friday for the in room trading. The last in-room show I attended that Gary hosted I picked up two of the best reels in my collection.

It was great to see fellow ORCANs Dean, Henry, George, Doug and several others. Great show hosts. But frankly, no good reels. Ugh.

I guess you missed the Meek 44, early Leonard-Mills 44 and 4" Brass Faced Perfect in my room. :D

I'll try harder next time.

I came home this this cute little bugger ...

Only marking is "60" on the foot. Reel is 2-1/8" in diameter.

I know I've seen the knob in a catalog drawing before, the shape is very distinctive. But, so far, I cannot find it.

Oh I saw them Dean. Great little reels, and if I wasn't a little " financially embarrassed " I would have come home with the 44's. Doug

Dean, not sure if this is the catalog cut you were referring to, but the Chubb catalog shows your reel as a model 21 - I have two sizes of the model 20 - they both have that distinctive grasp.

Thanks Jim !

That's what I was looking for !

I checked my Golden Age of Tackle Catalogs book and my AJ Campbell book, but didn't see it. I guess I must have seen it this summer while thumbing through one of Jerry Girard's Chubb catalogs.

It is quite an accurate drawing ...right down to the knurling on the revolving plate screw.

Do you know what year that catalog is from ?

Thanks again, I appreciate it.

I'm almost certain it was 1891 (Tom Kerr had the catalog), though I remember seeing them up to 1895 - might have been offered to almost 1900, though I'm not 100% sure.

They are shown in both the 1891 and 1895 Chubb catalogs.
