Back Issues of Reel News

I have most back issues of the Reel News from 2004 to present. I contacted Sid and the ORCA Llibrary has its full compliment. Does anyone have a suggestion where these might find a good home?

Bruce, I have removed 3 or 4 issues related to reels that I own. Let me give you a count and let me see what I have removed from the collection. I would assume that UPS ground for these heavy magazines would be in the $40 range. Thanks for your interest and I will be in touch..

Send them USPS Media Mail. Very cheap! Maybe $10 at the most for all of them.

I spoke today with the Local Postmaster and was told that Magazines can be be included as Media Mail, because they contain advertising. News to me. If inspected by the USPS the receiver is required to pay the difference in postage rates.

Nothing is for sale in the Reel News (there are no classifieds, or ads with items for sale), which would make it acceptable for Media Mail. Even some books have advertising in them to some degree. As a former employee of the Postal Service, I can tell you that about one out of 10,000 medial mail parcels are actually inspected and they are usually odd sizes that would possibly indicate the contents are other than books, newspapers or magazines. Or perhaps a rattling noise or something like that. $40 to ship some magazines is ridiculous. Your call, of course.
