As the police inspector said in Casablanca, it’s time to “round up the usual suspects.”

February 24, 2019. FATC Daytona.

PS — new and additional reel suspects very welcome to join the ORCA gang this year in Daytona. Make sure you indicate on your FATC registration that you would like a table in the ORCA section of the show floor.

Show Host Mike Hall can be reached at flalake@aol.com for those who want to request a table in the ORCA section. His phone number appears on the registration form on the FATC Website. Here is a link to the show flyer:

I'm new to all of this but looking forward to meeting new friends at the show this year in Daytona!
I live in St. Augustine so it is pretty much a home game for me.
I'm a complete novice with vintage reels but can't wait to get my feet wet! See you all at the show... I'll be the one with perma-grin and big huge eyes!
Can't wait for all the reel eye candy!

Chris- welcome. The best way to learn about vintage reels is to pick them up and examine them and let ORCA members share their knowledge with you. It’s a great hobby with great people. The ORCA contingent is usually grouped together in the Daytona exhibition hall where the lure guys can keep an eye on us.

I see...group the "usual suspects" together so they can localize the mayhem!
Good idea!
As far as talking and learning from the ORCA contingent...God gave me 2 ears and 1 mouth and they will be used in the correct ratio.
Can't wait!

Yes, I vote for localized mayhem. Perhaps we Orcans can have a breakfast or dinner together. Perhaps a local can advise.

According to a post by FATC Daytona show host Mike Hall, there are still a few ORCA tables left for the show.
