Not only was B.F. Meek one of the finest reelsmiths in history, but one of his simple sterling silver spoons just sold for an incredible $227.50...

I haven't seen one of these sell in a while, but my recollection is that they have typically been around the $200 mark.
Wanted: Horton, Bristol & Meek reels, reel boxes, and catalogs!!!!

Yes Harry, the tool is stamped PAT PENDING, BF MEEK+SONS, Louisville,KY.,FISHING REELS It screws out and has an oil stick on the other end. Only one screw driver blade.

Incredible indeed. As for myself, still looking for the #6-12 (yes, I think there was a 12, please prove me wrong). I have everything else pictured. I am looking for another screwdriver, since Ron carries one around to fix reels with, I think that I need another for that purpose.

I just found this photo I took last year at FATC Daytona. It shows a Meek silver spoon and a rare Meek gravy ladel being offered by Norm Pinardi.
