Penn Bay Side Reel - 200 yd

Post by mysticmurtz »

I recently acquired a Penn Bay Side reel at a fishing show. I was able to locate info on the 250 and 300 yard reels but not a 200 yd. Any info would be appreciated.

Hi mysticmurtz, The 200 yard Bayside, was produced from 38-41 ( from recollection ) depending on handle type and tail plate etching you could date it a little closer. Nice find, maybe post up a photo so we can see it....

Thanks for the reply. I tried several times to upload photos of the reel but no success. The reel has a bone colored torpedo handle. The tail plate artwork is different than all the other Penn reels that I have seen. The reel also has a knurled pillar that I have never sen before. I will try again to upload photos.
