I have recently acquired a "take Apart No. 480 I think its made Meisselbach & Bros. Newark N.J. I Was wondering the age of the reel?..

Hi, welcome, the Meisselbach Takapart #480 was made between 1907-1930, according to ORCA member Phil White in his outstanding Meisselbach and Meisselbach-Catucci Fishing Reels Collectors Guide. Since your reel has a Newark, NJ marking it was probably made before the move to Elyria, OH in 1921.
