I would imagine the brand is what's stamped on it. Likely made after 1950 or so, being fiberglass.

Is loc-tite the reel seat brand, like Varmac puts their name on the seats they made?

Could be the seat, not reel brand, Old stuff, tough to tell unless we have a reel seat guy lurking around here.

Understood,
I found info, the guy who invented loctite glue in a basement at a college in Hartford connecticut in 1953,
The old rod and reel came out of an old Victorian house on the out skirts of Hartford connecticut,

Then the bottom of the reel seat says....
Aero industries Hollywood ca
There's a reel seat called aero reel seats......still made today

I Also seen an old tonka cane wth the same reel seat as mine

Well, think positive... the tip may be made from a Truline blank... great sticks, much beloved. Unfortunately, ID #s would be under that big wad of a foregrip!

Hello!

Did you ever come to a conclusion on your rod? I have an old rod I recently acquired with a fiberglass pattern and color that looks very similar, that I am also trying to figure out the manufacturer. If you solved it, please let me know. Or if anyone else recognizes this rod. The Pflueger Templar 1420 1/2 came with the rod...I just finished cleaning them both up.

nice rod sir,
I own another rod very much like yours here in this thread.....that we will get to soon,
sorry, I am very busy here with summer chores etc......
I will open a new topic for that rod to keep things more understandable for us.
in Subject Line: I will call it
NARMCO CONOLON Citation Series No.8805-N ROD (39 thread) 1952 Circa

but, the rod that I have here in this thread is a very old one, I believe 1947 Circa,
in my humble opinion it is a very early NARMCO CONOLON Citation Series No.8804-N ROD (24 thread)
unless someone proves me wrong

david, try to post pix of your rods butt gimbel and tip top, full lengthif possible
my other rod has alot of similairties...you will see in my next post
thank you,
sea ghost
