Reel ID help

Post by 40fordflathead »

I have a Tournament Wellworth casting reel (⭐️ Reel Co.) A1. My question is who made it. ORCA’s Bronson site has Star Reel by Bronson, listing a Tournament Wellworth. A couple old threads mention Winchester, Hendryx, and Shakespeare but with no solid answer that I could find. The reel has wood handles that look like they were painted white. Thank you for any and all help.

Wrong99 thank you for the help. Is the stamping on the foot and wood knobs a fairly standard feature on UH reels? Just trying to learn more. Thanks Bruce

Yes, both are common to nearly all their models.
