MONTAGUE BIG GAME ROD

Post by sea ghost »

CAN ANY BODY TELL ME IF THIS IS A BIG GAME SINGLE, DOUBLE OR TREBLE BUILT ROD?

AND I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO KNOW APPROX.WHAT YEAR THIS ROD WAS ROD BUILT?

THE LOGO IS WORE OFF BUT YOU CAN STILL KIND OF SEE WHAT IT SAYS.......

IT HAS LARGE MILDRUM ROLLER EYES AND A NEPTUNE TIP......

AS YOU CAN SEE, THE ROD AND TIP IS VERY THICK BAMBOO AND OF COARSE WITH VERY HEAVY ACTION FEEL.

ANY CATALOG INFO WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL.

THANK YOU, :type:

What you have is a Montague "Bahamas Double" rod for Tarpon, Tuna & Swordfish. Made prior to WWII.

I found your rod in Montague's 1939 catalog. Unfortunately it doesn't have an illustration.
