My husband recently passed and upon cleaning out his shed he had a huge box filled with old reels. If anyone could help me out with the value of some of these I would greatly appreciate it.

The best way to value reels is by photos of each reel. If you have a camera on your phone, you could shoot a photo of each reel or group of reels and post them to this board. Posting photos can be difficult for some who are not used to it. Let us know how you like to work, it may be possible for you to email the photos to someone. If there is a young person that is used to photo taking and posting, they can perhaps help.
