Alcedo spinning reel drag.
Has anyone taken apart the drag assembly on an Alcedo spool or know how to do it? Looks pressed in. Thanks

Re: Alcedo spinning reel drag.
It is doable, and yes, the retaining ring is pressed in.
Use a small punch the size of the main shaft and insert it from the underside. If you use the correct size it will catch on the flat area of the metal washer. Being careful, tap the punch with a hammer and if the retaining ring moves spin the washer so the flat part is in another location. Keep doing this until the ring pops out completely.

Love those Open Face Spinning Reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco)

I was going to say, if anyone knows how, and has done it more than once, it would be Tom.
