Dam Quick 110 ultralight questions

Post by Phil M. »

Two simple questions. ( This reel is NOT the 110N )

1) Should the bail nut be tightened firmly, preventing the line roller from rolling, or left slightly backed-off resulting in a sightly "floppy" bail, though the roller is now free to roll ? The nut is not an elastic stop nut.

2) Were the early model 110's made without the glued-on fish on the side plate or should all of the 110's have the fish ?

Thanks

The line guide isn't supposed to roll since it's tungsten carbide. Tighten the nut all the way down. There should be a lock washer between the bail plate & nut.

All the 110s came with the jumping fish decal.
Love those Open Face Spinning Reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco)
