Top this, “It’s still out there” story

Post by Mike N »

A good NFLCC collector buddy of mine from Pennsylvania emailed me a photo of a beautiful Hawkeye reel he found this weekend. When I asked him where? he emailed back:

“I got it at a Coon Dog Club festival and it was on a Ice fishing rod.”

Yes, it’s still out there in the darndest places.

“The Wells”

It was in a box of “old reels” that I bought to get a couple of older spinning reels that were in it.

H.L. Leonard Bi-Metal, Hardy Uniqua, Orvis Lightweight and others were in the box described as unresearched.

Quite a nice haul.

Ummmm... And what's that interesting half handle fly reel to the right of the telephone latch reel at the bottom?
