Pic from Turkey Day show

Post by Jim Madden »

Pixels are seriously lacking, but you'll notice how much better Harvey looks than I do. He's gained the weight back, can talk well enough, and has many fine reels on his mind. I had to leave soon after he arrived, but it was good to see his progress and then chat a while. There's a way for him to go yet, but this Thanksgiving holiday is certainly been meaningful for Harv and his beautiful daughter.

Yes, It was really GREAT to hook up with Jim and see what is going thu his mind and see a rare reel prototype. Seeing Jim and meeting Chad Snyder for the first time was the highlite of my day. Print out that picture and put it in the closet. It will keep the moths away from your wool sweaters!

Jim: It was great to see that Harvey is still as ugly as always. I thought maybe he had a face lift while rehabilitating.

Always nice to put a face to the names on the board.

Just curious, Harvey...what reel p-type was that?

PICTURES OF PROTOTYPE

Post by Harvey »

Rob,
It was a Shakespeare Take-a part. (un-numbered and un-marked.)
By pushing the other end of tab as shown in pic 2, it unlocked the part as shown in pic 3 from the notched pillers in pic 4. We also seen a similar idea in the archives collection at Columbia. Phil and I took it apart and like to never got it back together. I will post pictures of it when I get home.
And no, Phil, no face lift but I did get a tummy tuck.

Thanks for the pics & great explanation!

Sweet idea; I've always liked the E-Z takedown concepts. ABU had one on the 20 & 30 lever drags, but even that was a threaded nut.
