Shakespeare Reverse Tuck MT Reel Box

Post by Dave Randall »

Harvey and Shakespeare reel collectors,

Still digging through my Shakespeare reel collection and ran across this unmarked box. It has an undated pocket catalog describing a "new" Wondereel but don't know if the catalog belonged in the box. Any idea of vintage of the box. Image

Dave,
As near as I can figure it out, the tuck boxes are from the early Fifties. My reason for thinking that is that I have a couple myself and one of them is for an Inglis 1000 reel. They weren't made till then. The other is a 1904 Acme and I got it with a model FK, which was made from 1950 to 1952 in it. The "Wondereel" was a new model as of 1939.
Hope this helps.
