Re: Computer troubles
I am replying using Win 7 Pro and an old version of Internet Explorer. As explained on the Reel Talk Announcements page, we have undertaken to make reel Talk secure. We are almost fully functional but the wrinkles are still being worked out. Instead of the https link shown in your e-mail, try connecting with http://reeltalk.orcaonline.org. After you connect the address will automatically change to https but should work. Also, you may be seeing a warning message about an Internal Server Error. As explained in the Announcements section, if you refresh your browser page (click the little circular arrow icon in the address field area of your browser once or twice) you will see the forum page you are supposed to be looking at. Apologies for the inconvenience but it turned out to be a complicated security upgrade and the contractor is still trying to clean up the issue of dynamic link code encryption. You can also try using Google Chrome instead of Explorer- it is a free download from the internet and works for me too on a Win 7 PC. Mac and Apple products have similar issues so don't throw your PC out the Window just yet!

Re: Computer troubles
I really hesitate to give advice on computers etc, but since I switched to Chromebooks 5 years ago I have had no problems of any type. I will never go back. Cheap, fast and no viruses!
I love to get old reels, work on them until they run as smooth as silk and the take them fishing using pre-1960 plugs, mostly surface fishing for Largemouths after dark.
