What year did Shakespeare first produce the white glass-wrapped rods-green handle, red, black wraps. Referring to casting rod.

That's a great question. Sorry, I don't know the direct answer, but it's covered in one of the ORCA National Virtual Presentations "Dr. Howald and the Development of the Glass Fiber Fishing Rod 1944-1970" presented by Eric Jeska.

Thanks Ron. Will check it out. Looking at that rod in the rack yesterday and started reminiscing old times but couldn’t put a year on it. Seems like it was 1951 or close.
