Yes. In fact, Al Gore was a silent charter member.

The former adnim was pretty creative. I think he thought the IRS or some other Big Brother was after him.

Am I thinking too much? The "m" and "n" are transposed so that it says "Adnim," not "Admin." Is this some contraction/play on their name, or an attempt to appear to be a site admin? Under members, they are listed as "Frequent Board Poster" and no "Real Name" is listed.

The one JE is talking about told me he purposely did that to reduce spam & unwanted queries. He was an interesting character, to say the least. He really knew how to work & finagle the system. :type:
Love those Open Face Spinning Reels! (Especially ABU & ABU/Zebco)

There is some logic in that. I check the logs every week for orcaonline.org, and we have bot attacks multiple times a day trying to log into admin and other like administrative accounts. They are searching for known user IDs and weak passwords. If they obtain any administrative password, we would likely have to restore the entire site with the kind of malicious activity that may ensue. Malicious actors are trying to harvest accounts and pw for future use and monetization opportunities.

I always use the opportunity to tell everyone to use different passwords on every site you visit. Then if you are hacked they will not have access to all other sites you have.
