If you see something you really want and can afford it, buy it immediately. If you walk to the car to think it over, by the time you get back it will either be gone or you will have talked yourself out of buying it. Either way you will regret your indecision. A lesson I have never seemed to learn.

...I'm guessing you just bought stock in Capital One?

Unfortunately, being "able to afford" something is defined by lots of people as still having room on the credit card.
