FS: Airex Bache Brown Mastereel spool

Post by gadabout »

This is a spool for an Airex Bache Brown Mastereel spinning reel. I believe it is for a Model 4. The following info is printed on the label on the top side of the spool:

Spool No. 813
Airex Division of the Lionel Corporation

The diameter of the upper flange of the spool is approximately 1 15/16". The diameter of the lower flange of the spool is approximately 2 1/8". The diameter of the hole is approximately 1/2". The height of the spool is approximately 13/16".

The condition is very good with just some light corrosion on the hub of the spool.

$8 shipped. PayPal only, please.

This spool will fit all model 3 and 4 Mastereel's, all of the Spinster reel's, the Astra and the Vagabond as well. Several of the models did not come out with the face plate on their spools, but they will inter-change. It will also fit on the Standard model, however that reel had a face plate that was marked Standard, so to be fully correct you'd want that spool for that reel. I hope this helps. Remember; Bache Brown and Airex were the FIRST to introduce and produce spinning reels in America.

I highly doubt it is still available. If you can wait a couple days, I have many Airex parts tucked away in storage. Among them should be a Mastereel spool.
