7' Payne 2/2. bag and tube. The rod is in excellent+ restored condition (by Tim Zietak), unfished since restoration. The cork grip was left as found in darkened condition with no ridges, hook digs, or chips. All guides are original, correct brown silk tipped yellow wraps, agate stripping guide, ferrules seat well and "pop" when separated. Reel seat cap is stamped in four lines" E.F. Payne, Rod, E.F. Payne Rod Co., Maker". The opposite side of the cap is stamped in three lines " Sold By, Abercrombie & Fitch , New York". Rod is believed to be a mid 1930's or early 1940's rod.
