Photos needed for article

Post by Steve »

Can anyone send some hi-res, sharp photos of a Go-Ite reel made in Kokomo, Indiana? (Not Flint or Birmingham) They're needed for an article on the long-neglected company. Would like to see the reel from top, bottom, and side, with views of the line guide and foot, preferably on a solid-color or white background, and preferably without line on the spool. If you can get a shot of the Go-Ite plaque on the foot, that would be nice. Full credit given for any photos used, of course. My email address is in the club roster. Thanks!

I could send you some. Would you like pics of the box and instructions as well? When would you need it by?

Thanks, Kevin. Does yours have "spokes," or does it have those drop-shaped perforations?

I think most of the ones we see have them, too.

Steve, i have two, but both say Birmingham. The 4 3/4” one with agate guide is spoked; the larger 5 7/8” (6”?) one has a different pattern… would not consider “spoked”. Lmk if you want a look or if any will help.

Thanks, gents. What I need are shots of the original Kokomo version, which sat on top of the rod, not on the side. I saw Jonathan's pic and thought it was a later model, but I'll ask.
