Penn International help..

Post by mike in new mexico »

I have been cleaning all of my Internationals and have a question. How are the disk clutch springs supposed to go. There are 4 and every reel I have has been different in arrangement. They are cone shaped and some go away from the bearing, some go towards the bearing, and some are just mixed up facing each other. This is part number 18-30 or if its a 50, 18-50. The manuals aren't clear of the orientation of these springs. Any help would be appreciated, thanks-mike

Mike, welcome! Here is where you can see an exploded schematic for your reel...just click up the pdf for the schematic on the chart

Hopefully, you can see the bearing orientation.
