Repairing a Broken side Plate on an OLD PFLUEGER CAPITOL 1988

Post by Harry Verdurchi »

Here I repaired a 5 dollar Reel I bought on E-Bay and made it worth at Least 5.50
Only took about 4 days and half a Gallon of Epoxies ,polish, sanding paper ,filing, more polish, more sanding paper and a little patience. Got tired of watching Joe Namath ,Bill Engvall and all the other winners selling insurance on the Tube
Not perfect but Better and now usable.
Need an End Cap and will start on the Spool next.

Got a spare reel stamped "Pflueger" or a Montague Imperial?

Thanks for the compliments Gents.
I am a little disappointed in the color fade on the very edge where the material was missing but learned a lot for the next one. .
