Cleaned Pflueger Templar 350

Post by ReelMan1988 »

Since I got the Ultra Sonic cleaner. I've been grabing tons of reels off the shelf for cleaning. Here's a Pflueger Templar that I attacked with it.

1 question, the black back sideplate and black ring...how do I get these cleaner? What to use and what not. I used warm water .. wasn't sure if vineger would damage it?

Here's before and after..

Once the hard rubber dries out like on your reel, you can use a product that JE uses called "Fluid Film". The vinegar solution shouldn't harm it either. Also, the star drag goes on last over everything.

Ok Changed. I noticed in the past reel news, there was an article about these reels. Did these reels come with a wood box or cardboard?

200 - 250 - 300 - 350 - 400 - 450 - 500 YDs... + you can find them with or without freespool... or nickle silver or plated brass. It would make a great display to find them all.

Thanks for sharing, I noticed you have another shelf, stand back and lets see the whole collection.! :D
