As some of you know, I’ve really started to focus my collecting on vintage Orvis fly reels and fly cards. So I was excited to come home from work today to see an email from my old ORCA friend Dean Smith with a link to a “buy it now” collection of vintage Orvis flies. As soon as I clicked on the link I saw there were already 12 “watchers,” but knowing that when a person with Dean’s great eye sends you a link it’s serious, I quickly pushed the buy button for $65 without reading the description. Boy, when I eventually did read the description below, I was glad I did. I mean, they were found in an estate in an envelope postmarked June 27, 1901! And the seller emailed me that of course she’s including the envelope.
Thanks, Dean, and to all other club members who unselfishly help others build their collections. That’s what ORCA is all about.
Thanks, Dean
Thanks, Dean

Re: Thanks, Dean
I'm sure you'd do the same for me if you saw a Philbrook & Paine fly reel with a BIN of $100.
Enjoy it Mike. Glad to help.
