Some friends and I got out on the ice for the first time this year and had a great day. I finally caught something on my jigging rod set up with an old Hendryx bait caster after trying for several years now. The rod had a broken tip and the next guide down broke off too so I might have to retire the rig but at least it caught one last fish!

A fish caught on antique tackle is one you can hang your hat on and sink your teeth into. Well done!

Re: Antique Hendryx rides again!
You have to catch at least 20 fish on a Rig like that in order to retire it and one has to be over 5 lbs. That's the LAW I am pretty sure .
Re: Antique Hendryx rides again!
Well if that’s the law, maybe I’ll reinforce what’s left of the rod and keep it going!
