This little fellow was in a batch that had been in a cabin fire. The 15” bamboo rod it was on didn’t fare as well. Its about 1 1/2” diameter and “works”

Good idea for a thread, Ron.
Here are a set of 5 miniature fly reels made by the late, great Tony Dillender of Lexington, Kentucky, as well as a rare tournament casting reel made by Tony:

John, here is a miniature J.W. Young fly reel with the rod, given to me by a dear friend. It’s one of my favorites:

Re: Let's See Your Minature Reels
The smallest in my collection. 1 1/2" brass reel, no click with an ivory or bone knob with steel screws which would indicate British manufacture. Pictured with a Kennedy half dollar and a Peace silver dollar.
Re: Let's See Your Minature Reels
Until now, I never knew where miniature reels come from. It seems that I have a breeding pair of Meisselbach Amateurs in my basement. After giving them lots of privacy they had two little ones. Mr Amateur has not yet questioned why one of his offspring is made of aluminum. If anyone else is interested in one, I can probably get you one from the next litter.

Re: Let's See Your Minature Reels
Love this thread. Here are two photos showing some from my "little" collection. The first photo shows two marked Haywood multipliers that are just 1 1/4" across the endplates. And with them, an unmarked little single action reel that's just a shade under that 1 1/4" in diameter at the ends.
The second photo shows those three on the shelf with a double clamp single action reel at left. This appears to me to be the same reel as the one next to it, but with some nicely added clamps (two of them). Who knew?
