Can I get an AMEN for this Talbot Tournament Reel?
This Talbot Tournament Reel has sapphire jeweled end and journal bearings, a Talbot tournament handle, a cork arbor and the spool end plates have been turned down to reduce their thickness. Talbot really made some reels that are works of art.

Amen, but different religion than I typically follow. I would surmise that a machinist may have turned down the spool, but maybe Talbot offered that also. Did Talbot make that engraving plate as well?
So how do we know when an Aluminum handle is made by the manufacturer or made by a third party? I am trying to figure that out right now for BF Meek, so any thoughts are appreciated. I see that Talbot and Meek offered aluminum handles in their catalog, but I have not seen pictures of the handles alone.

Here's another one with an aluminum spool and the same small tournament handle. Note the shape of the knob is pear shaped rather than cylindrical. Pear shaped knobs are typical on Talbot 50 series and tournament handles I've seen.
