My nephew has a reel. It is a free spool A.F. Mesel Bach

1. It is A. F. Meisselbach
2. It is a Takapart 481
3. It is Elyria, Ohio
4. Those patent dates were stamped on almost all Meisselbach casting reels from 1905 until the 1930s.
5. The handle is neither bone nor ivory. It is celluloid or plastic.
6. The value depends upon condition. It could range from $10 to $60, or maybe double that if you have an EX reel in an EX box with papers.
