Library Viewing Instructions

Post by Paul M »

Once you are logged in to your member store account, to see content associated with a library item you have to follow the purple buttons:

1) click the “Add to Cart” button
2) View Cart
3) Proceed to Checkout
4) Click “PLACE ORDER” at the bottom of your Checkout page .
5) Wait a few moments for the file link(s) to be set up then your screen will show Order Received along with one or more purple icon with the file name.
6) Click on the purple file name icon and the file will download to your browser. The download location depends on your browser. (Bottom left in Chrome, top right in Safari.) From there you should be able to open it as a PDF.

Tips Re: Library Viewing Instructions

Downloading multiple items:
The video shows a single item being Ordered before the Checkout. If you want to download multiple items from a screen in the Store, you can click "Add to Cart" for each without checking out each item separately. That works for a maker with multiple items on the screen at once. When you Checkout, all the items Ordered will be downloaded in a single transaction.

PDF file viewing issues for certain software
Note that all of the files in the online Library are PDF format documents. A few of the file names you download might not have the PDF extension in the filename. For example, file ABC123.PDF has the PDF extension. File ABC123 does not have the PDF extension but it is still a PDF file. Some operating systems/browsers will figure it out automatically. If your computer software does not know what to do with a file you downloaded from the ORCA Library, you can rename the file on your computer by adding ".PDF" to make it readable.
