Salmonfishing in Norway

Post by Jacob : salmonfisher03 »

Just got back from a wonderful trip.
Was fishing the Gaula river in Norway.

Always using these 2 great flyreels when I fish for salmon.
A Bogdan 100 and a swedish made Engelbrekt.

And a thing that is very important is the food. We had one evening 4 kg fresh shrimps and a bottle of good whisky

This year the better fisherman was my father.
He got 3 salmons - one was released again, and the other 2 will be smoked in a few weeks.

(4,2 kg and fresh full with sealice)

The second salmon was a fresh fish with 5,5 kg

Now we can just wait and tie some flies for the next trip
And next time it will be my turn to catch a salmon.

Best regards

Great pictures, one of these days I would love to go across the pond and fish. Thanks for sharing.
