Salmonfishing in Scotland (many pictures)
Here some pictures from the last salmonfishing trip this year.
This time I went to river Tweed in Scotland. A very classic salmon river.
We fished the beat called Bemersyde, which is the beat where the fly Jock Scott was fished first time.
Hope you will enjoy the pictures.
my german fishing friend Herbert, on the way out from our hotel. Next stop the river.
The hut at the river.
Talking about how we want to fish the different pools.
View from part of the upper beat we had.
Herbert and I am crossing the river, glad that he did all the hard work
The rods are having a break.
My best friends: Bogdan 100 and the Loomis rod. The perfect set for salmon fishing.
View from the hills over the upper part of our beat.
Herbert is fighting a salmon.
Back at the hotel together with Herbert and Kent, our swedish friend.
Enjoying a whisky.
Me enjoying a whisky. Dressed in the typical Tweed cloth.
And after the whisky I decided to get some healthy, so I ordered a Bloody Mary with celery
I have never seen so much green stuff in a drink before
We had 3 great days on this classic river and had lots of fun.
Looking forward to the fishing trips in 2013.
Best
Jacob

The whisky is pretty hard stuff - I think my friend got one or two to much
Only Herbert caught a salmon, it was a small one, about 2 kg, that was releashed again.
I have never fished a river, where so many salmon is jumping the whole time.
It was nearly ended with a nervous collaps for me - I did even not a pull to the fly, but that is how salmon fishing is.
I will be more prepared for next year...have just ordered dynamite

I would prefer dynamite to The Bogdan Reel. I would have that locked in a safe. Great pictures. Stay after "The King Salmon" they are out there waiting for you. Pictures from the other side of the big pond are always neat to behold.
