Any Florida Tarpon fishermen out there?

Post by Silver King »

Tarpon season has already started on the Peace River and Charlotte Harbor where I live - I headed out on the last full moon, saw fish, but a cold snap right before shut them down. A buddy jumped two last night up river.

Any reports from elsewhere?Caloosahatachee, Indian, Hillsboror Rivers? Bridges? Give me a holla

Here's one that was in the 175 lb range that I put my middle son on last spring

:D You just might want to check out www.chff.us it's Charlotte Harbor Fly Fishers. Our next meeting will be 13May at 6:30pm at the charlotte Park Civic Assoc. bldg. at 420 Pompano Terris. Cost is $3 per person and our speaker for the May meeting is Capt Jamie Allen on Tarpon Fishing the Harbor. Everyone is welcome whether you Fly Fish or not.

Thanks for the invite. That's right in the heart of Tarpon season, and I do some guiding in the pass at night. But if I'm free I'll try to swing by and support it.
